Gavin brought his first dog to our club in 2000. Over the years he has taken all of his dogs through our obedience classes. Gavin has a Labrador named Lucy and a Beagle named Julie. He also keeps tropical fish. With Lucy he has participated in agility and with Julie has completed Canine Good Citizen Bronze. 

With his first dog he wanted to do things correctly, so training was the obvious choice. After many years of receiving excellent training advice, he decided that it was time to give something back to the community. “Training allows owners and their dogs to bond and produces a much improved relationship. The smiles on handlers’ faces when they achieve something difficult is very rewarding. CPDC is a family of dog people who want to see the lives of their pets enriched through socialising and training. A well behaved dog will be a happy dog. It is wonderful to see the improvement week by week”. 

Gavin is married to Megan and has two children, Anna and Peter. He is operations manager in a plastics company. Gavin enjoys music, reading and doing woodwork. He is also very committed to his local Church.
